Since I was new to Fix+ I decided to ask a MAC rep about it.
- Can be used like a toner, sprayed on clean skin before makeup
- It does not help makeup stay on longer, it's not like a lacquer that will seal
- It will help set powder to a nicer finish (the reason I love it!), when sprayed after makeup application
- Works great with loose pigments!!! (see below)
- Some people use it with potted shadows, but the MAC rep said that technique can ruin the formulation of the eyeshadow
It's $18.00 USD for 3.4 fl oz. The MAC website description:
Spray your brush (I used MAC 239 brush, but any brush for emollient products is fine), dip the brush in the pigment, then the possibilities are endless! The Fix+ makes the pigment more metallic, and gives it a slightly creamy texture. I understand why people say it's a versatile product.
Sorry about the picture quality. My camera settings seem to be off, but I think you still get the idea.
Left (dry brush), Right (Fix+ sprayed brush)

Look of the Night
My best friend since second grade graduated from nursing school this past weekend, and I'm so proud of her. It was quite a touching moment to see her on stage accepting her diploma. Her family threw a party in honor of the accomplished graduate, and we all had a great time. This is the look I wore for the soiree:
Face: MAC Studio Fix Foundation, MAC Select Cover Concealer, MAC Studio Finish Concealer, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Naturals
Cheeks: MAC Blush in Peaches, NARS Blush in Super Orgasm
Eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Painterly, MAC shadows in Sketch (outer-V), Embark (crease), Rice Paper (used on lid), and Shroom (brow bone highlight), MAC Pigment in Melon (used with Fix+ on lower lash line), L'Oreal Voluminous in Carbon, Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner in Zero, Stila Liquid Pen Liner in Black
Eyebrows: MAC eye shadow in Charcoal Brown, MAC eyebrow pencil in Spiked
Lashes: MAC Lash 44
Lips: L'Oreal Colour Riche lipstick in Real Red, Trucco lip liner in Perfect Red
And, of course, I set my makeup with Fix+ !!!
**Update - Thank you to everyone who voted in my poll. Harajuku-doll look was the winner, so I will post that soon :)
